In September 2025, the Wave community achieved another powerful milestone in our ongoing partnership with 4ocean. Thanks to every single person who chooses to surf the web with Wave, 7,509 pounds of plastic and trash were removed from the oceans, rivers, and coastlines in Indonesia.
That brings our lifetime partnership total to 47,520 pounds of ocean trash removed, which is the equivalent of over 20,000 water bottles or nearly 24 motorcycles. Each browsing session, and download helps restore the ocean ecosystems that sustain life on Earth.

On the Ground: 23 Cleanups in Indonesia
In September alone, 4ocean crews conducted 23 separate cleanup missions across Indonesia. Each mission involved sorting plastic and trash by type, grade, and color before grinding it down in shredders and rinsing it in wash tanks to prepare it for recycling into new materials.
This transparent and efficient process ensures that every pound collected is responsibly processed, helping prevent recontamination and supporting local circular economies.
